W9 WORKSHOP

The purpose of the workshop is to inform participants about the state of play regarding the new EU Health Programme, its main goals, objectives and funding instruments, as well as the steps now taken towards implementation from 2014 following the adoption of the programme by the European Parliament and the Council. The 3rd multi-annual programme of EU action in the field of health is part of the EU's Multi-annual Financial Framework for 2014–2020 with a foreseen budget of €446 million. it identifies four priority areas: contribute to innovative and sustainable health system, increased access to better and safer healthcare for EU citizens, prevent disease and promote good health, protect citizens from cross-border health threats.
