EU Session on improving access and combating discrimination in healthcare with a focus on vulnerable groups.

This session will explore the two aspects of discrimination in healthcare and improving access to healthcare. In this context the main objectives are:

• To identify issues in relation to discrimination in the access to healthcare in the EU.
• To highlight the European Commission's commitment to the promotion and protection of fundamental rights in access to healthcare
• To discuss EU and Member States’ possible actions on improving the access to healthcare in the EU, identifying gaps and challenges and highlighting evidence and best practices.

The session will present a range of perspectives of what the current issues are as well as panel discussions on actions.
