Ole Heuer

Ole Heuer joined ECDC in 2008 as Senior Expert in Antimicrobial Resistance and worked since 2011 in various operational leadership roles in the Centre with managerial responsibility in Surveillance, One Health Related Diseases and Epidemic Prone Diseases. He was appointed
Head of Unit Disease Programmes (DPR) as of 1 July 2024. Prior to his employment at ECDC he held positions as Senior Scientist at the Technical University of Denmark and as Research Scientist at the Danish Zoonosis Centre and the Danish Veterinary Institute.
Ole Heuer is Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and holds a PhD in microbiology and epidemiology.
